Shipping & Handling
The Vintage Hat Box greatly appreciates your business and we strive to keep shipping & handling fees as low as possible. We charge a flat fee for shipping and handling based on the tables below. All items will be shipped through the United States Postal Service (USPS). If you would prefer a different carrier - please contact us at email@example.com for rates and availability.
PLEASE NOTE - Times quoted below do not include processing time. Most orders are processed within 48 hours of receipt. Handmade items such as hand painted hat boxes and hat stands will require additional processing time. Priority Mail, Express Mail or international service may not be available for hat boxes and hat stands at listed shipping charges. We will contact you if your order is not eligible for shipping at listed prices. You may also contact us for a shipping quote based on your exact location and order size. If you need your order by a specific date, please include that information in the comments section when you place your order. You may also phone or email us with the request. We will make every effort to accommodate your request.

International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchasing. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – please do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We will not mark merchandise values below actual purchase price or mark items as "gifts".

We frequently recycle packaging materials as long as the materials are still useable. They may not look so pretty but as long as they are functional, we will re-use them and encourage you to do the same. Any items we can keep out of the landfill brings us a step closer to a better environment for all.
All orders will automatically be insured with the shipping provider, where eligible, for the purchase price.
Due to the nature of our items, we have adopted a "no-return" policy. Returns will ONLY be accepted if a gross misrepresentation has occurred. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a return. All return requests MUST be made within 24 hours of receiving the item(s). Any return requests for items damaged in transit will be referred to the insurer for resolution.
We strive to correctly identify the time period for each piece we list. However, we may not be able to correctly or absolutely identify a piece and will declare the time period as unknown or unavailable or we will make an educated guess and shall note such with a question mark (?). If anyone is aware of a gross misrepresentation, please bring it to our attention at email@example.com.
